Since 2012, KJ Sports Travel, Inc. has been the leading sports travel company.
Jon Cohen built the company on a foundation of integrity and professionalism and continues to hold these values with clients.
KJ Sports Travel is committed to being honest with our clients in all aspects of the business and work tirelessly to build strong and positive partnerships with hospitality professionals across the globe.
KJ Sports Travel’s Team Members continue to provide services that exceed their clients standards and expectations through their support with their hospitality accommodations.
Founder
JON COHEN
Jon Cohen is the owner and founder of KJ Sports Travel. He moved from the East Coast to California in 1997. Jon was born & raised in Rhode Island. He’s the middle triplet in a family of 5 children.
When Jon began his hospitality career over 20 years ago, he never imagined that it would culminate with starting his own company.
Establishing KJ Sports Travel in 2012 seemed like the appropriate path to combine his knowledge of both sports and hospitality. Jon is best at building and fostering relationships with the teams and hotels. The brand continues to grow year after year and now assists over a third of the Teams in the NBA.
He’s living the dream.
ANABEL CABRERA
President of Operations
Anabel Cabrera is a lover of all sports & is a true hospitality professional with over 20 years of experience. Anabel was born & raised in Los Angeles and is a SoCal girl through & through. She enjoys spending time with her family & friends the most. Evening basketball games in Downtown LA and summer nights at Dodgers Stadium make her the happiest.
CATHERINE GIBSON
Director of Team Travel
Catherine Gibson originally hails from Washington D.C. and has been with the company since 2015. Catherine brings with her over 18 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. An avid music lover, Catherine is often practicing for her chance to appear on Lip Sync Battle. When not entertaining her longshot fantasies, Catherine loves to travel, spend time with her family and friends, and attend sporting events and concerts.
STEPHANIE CHOY
Senior Team Travel Manager
With more than two decades of experience in hospitality and a degree in Hospitality Management, Stephanie Choy joined KJ Sports Travel in 2016. She prides herself on her dedication, efficiency, and ability to foster long-lasting client relationships. As a native of Los Angeles, she enjoys the city’s incredible food scene and loves exploring new restaurants. When she has the time, she also delights in cooking and experimenting new recipes.
MORGAN BUTLER
Team Travel Manager
Morgan Butler hopped off the plane at LAX with a dream to join the KJ Sports Travel Team in 2019. Morgan grew up in the Chicago Suburbs and sorely misses the deep-dish pizza but is now enjoying soaking up the beautiful Cali weather with her dog Buddy. When the workday is through, she enjoys listening to her Queen records on repeat while whipping up the perfect Charcuterie Board.
Whitney York
Team Travel Manager
Whitney York played college basketball and has over 8 years of experience in the hospitality industry. The role as a Team Travel Manager was a natural fit. As a native of Texas, she enjoys searching for the best BBQ that LA has to offer in her spare time, going on adventures with her dog Otto, and enjoying the Cali weather.
LIANE IBARRA
Director of Financial Services
Liane has been with KJ Sports Travel since 2017. She was born and raised in Los Angeles and it shows, she loves sunny SoCal beach days the most. Outside of work, she enjoys spending all of her time with her husband and their four children.
Tammy Lopez
Billing Specialist
Tammy Lopez has a passion for sports, music, and travel. Growing up in the city of Northeast Los Angeles, she developed a love for live concerts and sporting events. Now Tammy enjoys exploring new destinations and making new memories with her son Thomas and Frenchie dog named Max. With her love for life and a deep appreciation for the moments that matter, Tammy continues to embrace new experiences.
Galilea Giles
Executive Assistant
Galilea Giles (“Galy”) has been with KJ Sports Travel since 2021. She joined the Team as Jon’s assistant and has quickly become esteemed with our VIP clients. She’s friendly, outgoing, and brings her excellent service skills to work every day. Outside of work she truly enjoys spending time with her family as they gather for her mother’s delicious homemade Mexican dishes, and like a true So Cal native she enjoys any and everything in the sunny outdoors. Galilea has the biggest heart for animals; so much so she’s rescued a few of her own.
